A Doll Cake For My Daughters Birthday!
My construction of special cakes. Came about because I could not find the mold I needed or it cost to much. So I found ways of doing it with out molds.

The First cake I made, I used a sheet cake for the base. A standard 9 x 13 cake pan and made it a field of grass and flowers, for the girl to stand in.
I didn't have a half doll for the uper part. So I used a whole barbie doll, which served as a gift too.

To make the dress for the doll, I used the following. Make sure they are metal, glass or ceramic to take the heat of the oven.
1) 1- 6 to 8 inch ceramic bowl ( Main part of skirt )
2) A cup cake pan for 6 or 12 cup cakes.( 1 for uper part of dress )
3) Tooth picks, craft paper and glue.
4) 1 sucker stick
For larger doll use a bunt cake pan, and tea cup size bowl in place of bowl and cup cake in item#1 & 2.
And you don't use the sheet cake, instead place on a round cookie sheet or board.
